China iPhone 3G Is Crippled
By SAJJAD4u
China Mobile is tipped to roll out the iPhone 3G in China (where else), but without one of its most useful feature - the ability to go online, no thanks to a request for Apple to supply a customized version with Wi-Fi and W-CDMA connectivity disabled. The whole idea behind this bizarre move is to prevent customers from picking up the iPhone 3G and unlocking it for use on more capable networks. I say they might as well just stick to the original iPhone if that's the case. Would Apple bow down to this demand in the name of a potential customer base that's the largest in the world, or will they stick to their guns with a "take it or leave it" ultimatum to China Mobile?
